The 'Voice of Motorsport,' will open the National Bikesafe
Weekend at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire, at 10.30
a.m. on 3 April 2004.
Bikesafe
is an initiative of the Warwickshire Police Force, who first held
the event at the Heritage Motor Centre in 2001. Since then it has
been adopted by other Police Forces throughout the country, in an
effort to reduce the road accidents statistics.
During the weekend (3 and 4 April) Midland police forces will be
on hand to offer expert advice to motorcycle riders, by holding
assessed rides and rider skills workshops.
Entry to the National Bikesafe Weekend is FREE
and over the weekend there will be plenty to see and do. Major motorcycle
manufacturers will be present with ‘demo machines, ' the weekend
event will also be supported by local dealers.
There will be over 30 police officers and 20 members of the Institute
of Advanced Motorists and the Royal Society for the Prevention of
Accidents present throughout the weekend, offering free assessed
ride-outs either on riders' own machines or on demo bikes. There
will also be a number of trade stands, displays and entertainments
at the event.
Scootersafe, Warwickshire Police’s own initiative will also
be running over the weekend, offering advice on theory, safety,
clothing and riding skills for 14-17 year olds under instruction
by police and CBT riding schools. For further information log on

Entry to The National Bikesafe Weekend is FREE and will be held
from 10.30am until 4pm on both dates (3 & 4 April). The Centre
is located close to junction 12 of the M40, on the B4100 road from
Banbury to Warwick.
Admission to the motor museum will be charged at adults £8,
concessions £7, children (5 –16) £6, under 5’s
FREE. A Family ticket is available (2 adults + 3 children) at £25.
Land Rover Experience off-road rides will run from 12 - 4.40pm,
weekends and holidays only). The Heritage Motor Centre is open daily
