Sometimes you really can get something for nothing. This is one of those times. A simple survey, maybe two minutes of your time, and you go into a draw to win this shiny new Tom Tom Rider bike GPS worth about £250. No spam, no marketing rubbish, just a really cool freebie...

This is an experiment. When we're off doing race reports, testing bikes and so on, there's a whole load of stuff that goes on but never appears in the report. Sometimes because there's no room, more often because it just can't. You'll find out more about them in our blogs... This is Sally Ann. She may look like a meek and mild lady, and in truth she probably is. But she's also about to ride all the way round the coast of the UK. And she's only been riding for a couple of years. She's doing it to raise funds for a Neurological Unit and we want to help...

China has a fabulous purpose built race track that has given us some of the best races we've ever seen. And this year we saw a vintage performance from, well actually from two or three riders that some of the pundits had written off as either over the hill or simply outclassed by their team-mates or machinery...

2008 is here properly, so we need to have a look at what's going on in the SBK paddock before anyone can start making predictions. There have been changes in rules, in riders and in venues. Some good, some bad and some, if we're honest, plain old ugly. But that's racing, and if nothing else 2008 is going to be an interesting season...

Assen, the site of so many memorable races, is almost guaranteed to deliver spectacle and excitement. And it didn't disappoint this time, that's for sure, with some truly outstanding performances and some of the closest racing we've seen for a while. Plus the ghosts of Valencia got well and truly exorcised...

Buell make some of our all time favourite bikes. Like noisy, exciteable puppies, the mildly eccentric American iron just makes us smile. This, the Lightning Long is possibly the most sensible Buell we've tried. It's hardly sensible at all, of course, but it is hugely useable and great fun...
Suzuki really deserve the priase and admiration of all the biking public. Not just because of the excellent mainstream bikes they make, but because they had the courage to make the
B-King without totally sanitising it from the concept bike on which it was based...

Harley Davidson do, as we've said before, make some cracking bikes. But some of them, for some odd reason, appear to have become adorned with huge amounts of frippery that might be held against them as bikes. But the Nightster is completely different. Maybe the purest bike ever...

Steering dampers are, in some quarters, considered a bit naff. While others swear by them. Or at them sometimes. Anyway, there's a relatively new kid on the damping block and we got the chance to check it out. It would be fair to say that we were really rather impressed...
Ever wondered, when you're reading yet another article about the great and the good of the racing world, what it would be like for a normal human being to ride a full blown superbike? So did we, and in the absence of a normal being we sent the editor to find out...

Scrubbers leathers. A name that should be familiar to any regular visitor to these pages. We've used them for cleaning and for repairs, but alterations are a different thing altogether. Clare threw some sliders at them to see what happened...
