I have a DT 230 Lanza - runs OK on 1/2 throttle, as soon as you open the throttle the engine dies. Any idea as to what the cause may be.

thats your main jet mate.... probably gunged up with a bit of dirt or something.... get your carb off, unscrew the main jet and hold it up to the light, you should be able to see through it perfectly, if not, thats your problem. clear it out with some carb cleaner (can be found at halfords) and once its cleared out, put it back in your carb, get it all back together and try it again. it should solve your problems
