cheers guys, is it wrong to want a gilera scooter?

i passed on a manual around the carpark but wanted to do the road on an auto and yes i passed but i feel like i have failed for not trying, yet i'm allowed to ride a manual and learn at a later date if i wish but auto is so much safer i reckon?

i am truly not a scooter type person, purely a supermotard type but i need transort soonish and so auto is the easiest option.

minty.

Don't be ashamed. Get a feel for riding on the road before you get into the complication of gears etc. The scooter will give you the confidence you need and then when you're feeling good you can go and purchase your dream bike and enjoy it all the more. Besides, if you're commuting any distance you'll probably find the scooter is a lot more comfortable!!

i got it and it is my dream scooter, it's a bigun and it has wheels like a motorbike.

i do commute on it and need it for going up steep hills so maybe looking for a manual in the longterm.

will post pics in a minute, excuse the pic, the sun was in my eyes.

Congratulations on the bike, but could you possibly resize the HUUUGE picture?

800 pix across is good - currently at 1600...

Ta :)

Scooter looks great Minty, however, you are definitely ugly enough to be a Biker!!

Anyway, stay safe and enjoy your riding. Look forward to seeing a pic of you on your supermoto in the future.

it's like me and the cat have exact same face when photo taken, lol

anyway next step is a 400 supermotard but i will have to let this thing pay
for itself first given time.

but yeah i'm strictly a motorbike kind of chappy but twistngo round me on a 125 seems to be very highly favoured as you can concetrate on what's around the next corner instead of wondering what gear your in.

Took the liberty of editing it for you - nicked the pic, resized it and it's now hosted on the MBT server.

Cheers,

hello i have brought a 09 XT125x about a month ago i did my 600miles and went for service when i got the bike back i too couldn't do more than 47 but i took it back and they readjusted the clock not i do a happy 64-68 on the flat. as for going off road they are very good i am running my bike on near enough slicks and i can still pull my self up decent hills even when there wet and grassy ( have ridden trials bikes since 5 so know what a decent hill is hehe :P ) a 125 isnt really powerful enough for me because i have ridden them for years befor i got a road bike but i strongly suggest you don't go straight onto a 400 you probably end up killing yourself matey sorry to be blunt.

im looking to upgrade the exhaust although im having some trouble trying to find one to fit, just wondering if anyone new where i can get one to fit plus any other way to derestrict my machine please let me know if you have any ideas.
thanks dan.
