SmarTire actively checks tyre pressure and temperature while you're moving and on the road - exactly when you need it most. SmarTire’s display is small, weatherproof and very easy to see. The ultra bright alert icon warns you of a tyre problem before it becomes dangerous.

SmarTire's strap mounted sensors use advanced wireless technology to transmit temperature and pressure data while the motorcycle is in motion. The sensors are light weight and do not affect the normal balancing of the tyre.

The display can be mounted virtually anywhere on the bike in easy view of the rider.

How it works

SmarTire for Motorcycles receives tire pressure and temperature data from sensors installed inside the tyres. The sensors transmit air pressure and temperature information while the the bike is motion. If tyre pressure drops below the preset threshold, or if tyre temperature rises beyond a threshold, the alert light is triggered on the display, giving the rider advance notice of a tyre problem.

If the tyre pressure inside the tyre deviates 15% from normal, the ultra bright warning light will flash, alerting the rider to the condition. This flashing alert light will continue until the tyre condition is retified. (i.e. the tyre has been inflated to its proper cold inflation pressure.) The display will also show the affected tyre and the amount of pressure loss. This pressure deviation alert takes into account the affect of temperature on the internal tyre pressure (temperature compensated pressure) thus enabling the system to warn the rider even sooner of a tyre problem.

If the tyre continues too lose air and the tyre pressure drops 25% from normal, the Low Pressure Alert is triggered, and the alert light stops flashing and remains constantly illuminated. The affected tyire along with its pressure is displayed on the receiver. This Low Pressure Alert will continue until air is added to the affected tyre.

SmarTire for Motorcylces also warns the rider if the temperature of a tyre becomes critically high. If the tyre temperature exceeds 176F (80C), the warning light will flash with the affected tyre and temperature displayed.
